Our 65th year
The Pasta Store was established at its Queens NYC location in 1946.

A little history. In the early 1900s Aniello and Rafaella Russo came to the USA to establish a new life. They settled in the East New York section of Brooklyn and opened two businesses...Aniello a barber shop and Rafaella a Latticini Store (a milk product store, mostly mozzarella and ricotta).

During WWII, four of their five sons. Pasquale, Louis, Silvio and Arthur entered the military. Their fifth son, John was medically disqualified, so he stayed behind and learned both businesses. At the war's end John suggested to his brother Pat they open a Latticini store as their mom's. They found a location in Queens just a few miles from the Brooklyn stores. Sixty five years later John and Pat have passed on and the business has changed somewhat to include home-made pastas and gifts. It is run by Pat's son Neil.

The business has lasted over the years, not only because of the quality of its products and the fairness of its prices, but because of the honesty, integrity, reliability and dedication to fairness that has survived the many decades.

When brothers John and Pat were looking for a location to set up their business, a tip from a friend sent them into Queens. What they found was a two family house with a retail store on the bottom floor. The location was prime because two supermarkets and a large Church were within one block  which guaranteed people traffic. It was all ready and waiting for them.

"With an unshakable faith in the values of our country and the values of our people, Ronald Reagan renewed America's confidence and restored our Nation.  His optimism, strength and humility epitomized the American spirit.  He always told us that for America the best was yet to come.  President Reagan has left us, but he has left us stronger and better.  We take comfort in the knowledge that he has left us for a better place, his shining city in the clouds."

President George W. Bush
